Indianapolis Colts' Antoine Bethea Hosts "Playmaker" Mixer To Benefit Safe Coverage Foundation
Colts' 2X Pro Bowler Antoine Bethea hosts Indy's top playmakers at mixer to celebrate launch of Antoine Bethea's Safe Coverage Foundation. Proceeds will support the foundation's technology grant and provide access and resources for students.
- Indianapolis, IN (1888PressRelease) December 09, 2011 - Antoine Bethea, defensive standout for the Colts, celebrated the official Indianapolis launch of his Safe Coverage Foundation on Tuesday, December 6th at Colts Grille. The evening included live music by the Underground Groove Band, silent and live auction, hor d'oeuvres, signature "Playmaker" cocktails and mingling among the city's top Playmakers.
Comedian Chris Spencer and long time radio personality Jimmy "Mad Dog" Matis emceed the private event and kept attendees entertained in support of this great cause.
Bethea was honored by the outpouring of support from his teammates and the community. Colts Playmakers that attended the mixer included Pierre Garcon, David Caldwell, Dallas Clark, Jerraud Powers, Joseph Addai, Gary Brackett, Reggie Wayne, Ollie Ogbu, Joe Lefeged, Jamaal Anderson, Robert Mathis and Indianapolis Pacers Dahntay Jones.
"Indy has truly become my home away from home," said Bethea, "So I am proud to launch the Indianapolis chapter of my Foundation here, and continue to be a part of making a difference in the lives of Indy's youth".
Proceeds from the Playmaker Mixer will finance the SCF's technology grant, which supplies laptops and iPad2s for 30 freshmen entering college in the fall of 2012. Proceeds will also help fund the 2012 college tour. The application for the technology grant will be available February 1, 2012 at www.AntoineBethea.com.
