Indian National Bar Association (INBA) celebrates 66th National Law Day
INBA celebrates "66th National Law Day" on 26th November 2015, New Delhi.
- (1888PressRelease) December 05, 2015 - New Delhi : A groundbreaking International conference on Law & Policy issues of more than 400 prominent thought Members of Parliament from India and United Kingdom, leaders, CEO's, heads of legal department, researchers, advocates, practitioners and policymakers from at least 08 countries gathered in New Delhi on 26th November 2015, energizing a global movement working to advance policy issues around the globe. Held November 26, the "International Conference on Law and Policy Issues" to commemorate the 66th National Law Day marked its hosting in India as the biggest conference of the year hosted by Indian National Bar Association.
The conference can be described as a successful encounter with the legal fraternity, for fraternity development. In other words, it offered in-house counsels, litigators, members of Parliament, academicians and government officials an opportunity to participate in a critical dialogue about the present statutory provisions in the light of national development. The panel discussion was followed by award ceremony in various categories and dinner.
In an auspicious ceremony, Mr. Rakesh Bakshi was felicitated with the "General Counsel of the Year - Technology" award, Mrs. Pratibha M. Singh won the "Woman Lawyer of the Year". Mr. Saikrishna Rajagopal received the "IP Practice - Law Firm of the Year" award on behalf of his Law Firm "Saikrishna & Associates". Ms. Kavitha Gupta from Hitachi bagged the "Young Woman General Counsel of the Year" award. Mr. V. Rajesh Kumar was awarded the "Corporate Counsel of the Year 2015 - Privacy & Data Protection". "General Counsel of the year 2015 - Infrastructure" was given to Mr. Badrinath Durvasula. "General Counsel of the year 2015 - Retail" went to Mr. Pulin Kumar. "Young Emerging Lawyer of the year 2015" went to Mr. Karan Singh Chandhiok. "Insurance Practice - Law Firm of the year 2015" was awarded to Mr. Rajat Taimni, Partner, (Tuli & Co.).
