Kishore was born in Kolkata in 1971 and since childhood only was attracted towards art. He completed his graduation in Fine Arts from the Government College of Art & Craft, Kolkata in 1996. His life as an artist was not smooth. He struggled for some time in Kolkata but then went to Mumbai in pursuit of his destiny.
Kishore begins his journey as an artist by crafting paintings in water colours but sooner his inclination was switched to acrylics on canvas. His majority of emphasis is on colour combinations and the designs or patterns just happen for him. Being a courageous artist, Kishore never hesitated to implement the utilisation of texture in canvas or to experiment with the finishing touches of the painting.
Presently, Kishore is a proud owner of an art studio in Mumbai. Till date, he has participated in more than 15 group shows and also conducted quite a few solo exhibitions of his works. In the year 2014 and 2015, Kishore exhibited his collection of paintings with ‘Steam Engines’ as the subject matter. This two exhibitions “Nostalgia of Steam Locomotives” (Kamalnayan Bajaj Art Gallery, Mumbai in 2014) and “Indian Locomotives out of Museum” (Lalat Kala Akademy, Delhi in 2015) has won him numerous media attention and accolades.
