The objective of participation in the summit was to enhance skills, develop relationships, foster collaborative actions and take concrete steps for the growth of the retail sector, which is very demanding.
Citing about the relevance & requirement of the seminar, Mr. Raajeev j Lakhara, Managing Director, FDDI said, "The seminar was organized with an objective to magnify the technicians, managers from shoe factories, tanneries and manufacturers of other footwear materials with comprehensive knowledge about hazardous contaminants in footwear and footwear materials, their avoidance, and wherever technically feasible, their removal."
The company's total income has gone up by more than 24% to Rs. 16665 lacs in the fourth quarter ended on March 31, 2013. While the annual total income has increased by more than 14% to Rs. 54755 lacs in the financial year 2012-13 as compared to Rs. 48151 lacs of total income registered in 2011-12.
The Footwear Design & Development Institute's (FDDI) Fashion designing school "The School of Fashion Design" (SFD) hosted "Fashionotsva" - a fashion event. The objective of this event was to showcase the learning and creation of the first year students of the SFD.
