Increasing Demand For Bottle Labeling Drives Monvera Glass Decor $1.6M Expansion Plan
With Rising Demand For Screen Printed Labels, Monvera Increases Capacity And Printing Options.
- San Francisco, CA (1888PressRelease) January 29, 2014 - Monvera Glass Décor, a leading provider of screen printed bottles has completed the final steps of a $1.6M expansion plan. The relocation to the Ford Point facility in Point Richmond, CA back October 2011 initiated the start of this project. In addition to been located closer to wine and spirits customers in the Sonoma and Napa regions, the new 42,000 square foot space facilitated the installation of a third production line which was rolled out over the course of 2013.
The key component of the third production line was the purchase of a Fermac F06 CNC machine for screen printing wine bottles. Monvera is leading the way in technology deployment as first decorator in North America to install this printing equipment. CNC technology allows for perfect art registration and replication for long production runs. The machine is capable of printing full bottle wraps on regular, oval and square shaped bottles in addition to printing on the neck and shoulder of the bottle. The addition of second decorating lehr, improved automation and a spray coating treatment unit were the final components of the expansion plan.
