(1888PressRelease) July 06, 2018 - Shanti Business School (SBS), hosted the induction program named prarambh 9.0 for the PGDM batch 2018-2020 on 3rd July, 2018. This was the ninth successful year for SBS’s PGDM program. It marked the inauguration of the 15 days induction module for the students of the new batch. Mr. Kavan Purohit, Director, Talent Development –APAC and S&P Global was invited as a Chief Guest and Mr. Pratik Shah, Director, Knowcraft Analytics was cordially invited as a guest of honor. The lighting of the lamp was done by the esteemed guests accompanied by Shri. Jyotiprasad Chiripal (Trustee, Chiripal Charitable Trust), Shri. Brijmohan Chiripal, (Governing board member & Director, Chiripal Group of Industries), Ms. Nitika Chirpal (Director, Shanti Asiatic School)and Dr. Neha Sharma, Director- SBS. The students were welcomed by the seniors and the staff of the college. Dr. Neha Sharma, addressed the students on the importance of learning for their lives. She said “We call ourselves a business school or a b-school because in a school you learn from beginning, likewise SBS will guide you and prepare you for a corporate world from the day one itself. These learnings will not only help you in corporate environment but also throughout your life”.

In his address to the students Mr.Kavan Purohit, explained the golden rules to survive in these two rigorous years and come out with flying colors by being open. He said “open stands for opportunity, preparation, engagement and networking. If you factor-in these 4 parameters, it will lead you to a successful life”. He also added “keep enjoying whatever you do, don’t limit yourselves with bookish knowledge, and learn the ropes of corporate world by taking initiatives.” Mr. Pratik Shah said “it’s important to set goals in your personal as well as professional life, and then keep reassessing them and fine tuning them as per the situation. Don’t take studies as a pressure, at the end of the day its knowledge that matters not ranks, if you have a right attitude then no one can stop you to achieve whatever you want.”

The induction program was organized to make the freshers well acquainted with culture and facilities available at SBS. For the next 15 days, some of the eminent speakers will be addressing the students on topics pertaining to industry trends. Few of the names are Mr. Shaishav Kayastha,Extramarks Ltd., Ms. Nidhi Sharma,Indusa Infotech Mr. Rushad Shah, Cygnet Infotech, Mr. OP Todwal, Bluedart and many more to come.
