Impact Space Honors Global Changemakers at 5th Annual Impact Awards.
- (1888PressRelease) February 14, 2025 - Impact Space Inc., a global nonprofit empowering changemakers, celebrated its 5th Annual Impact Awards on January 26, 2025. The virtual event, spanning time zones from the United States to Zimbabwe, recognized individuals and teams making significant contributions to community development, leadership, and service.
Hosted by Vanessa Richard-Bassey, of the Impact Africa Podcast, the interactive ceremony fostered a strong sense of community, allowing attendees to celebrate winners in real time.
Honoring Those Driving Change
Irene Nyarko, Founder and CEO of Impact Space, emphasized that the awards represent a shared commitment to global impact, not just individual achievements.
Award Winners:
Impact Volunteer of the Year: George Wagabi (Kenya) – Wagabi was recognized for his exceptional contributions to the Kenya Care Drive, mobilizing support for children with special needs and ensuring access to vital resources.
Impact Member of the Year (Community MVP): Emmanuella David (Nigeria) – David was honored for her consistent engagement and dedication to the Impact Space community, inspiring others through her active participation (100+ positive shares, 400+ interactions).
Impact Leadership 2024:
1st Place: Team Nigeria (Emmanuel Oguche, Saviour Uchi, Ernest Azu)
2nd Place: Team Kenya (Samuel Waswa, Maurine Kabo, Lydia Owiro)
3rd Place: Team Uganda (Susan Akampurira, Jonathan Clay)

Impact Space Africa Employee of the Year:
Saviour Uchi was named Impact Space Africa Employee of the Year for his outstanding contributions.

Awardees received mini-grants ranging from $25 to $200 to support their ongoing impact initiatives.
