IMC - Jordan elects new board of directors
The general assembly of the Institute of Management Consultants and Trainers IMC - Jordan elected its new board of directors; during the annual ordinary general assembly meeting which discussed the 2010 financial and management reports.
- (1888PressRelease) May 04, 2011 - The general assembly of the Institute of Management Consultants and Trainers IMC - Jordan elected its new board of directors; during the annual ordinary general assembly meeting which discussed the 2010 financial and management reports.
The meeting discussed the achievements of the previous board of directors, including projects and developments that reinforced IMC - Jordan's regional and international presence. Additionally, it cleared the chairman and members of the board charges and formed a committee of the general assembly to supervise the election of the new board of directors.
Tamara Abdel Jaber was elected as Chairman of Board, Wasfi Masri as Vice Chairman, Ramzi Qushair as Treasurer of Board, Maqbouleh Hammoudeh as Secretary of Board, and Dr. Ghanem Al-Jamal, Laith Al-Qasem, Nabila Abdel-Masieh were elected as members.
In his comment, Chairman of the Board of Directors Dr. Hamdalla Mubarak said, "During the last 3 years, we have made every effort to continue making achievements, using them to serve the interest of IMC - Jordan and contribute to the sector's prosperity. Working in cooperation with the executive management, we were able to add to the accomplishments and benefits of IMC - Jordan and make it a highly reputable reference to the consulting and training sector in Jordan and the region."
"We also succeeded in connecting the Arab with the international market, representing it in many global events, the latest being the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI) Annual Conference in Jordan, one of the world's largest, most successful annual conferences which was attended by more than 100 consultants and experts from 42 countries," he added.
On the financial front, Dr. Mubarak pointed out to the financial aid IMC - Jordan received during that time, utilizing it in executing programs that benefited the institute's members, including 108,000 Euro granted by the European Union in collaboration with the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) in the past 2 years to support the initiatives of IMC - Jordan.
At the end of his speech, Dr. Mubarak mentioned that the number of IMC - Jordan's members increased, amounting to 238, 158 of which are full members. He considered that an actual proof of the successful role IMC - Jordan plays in the sector, fulfilling its goal of promoting the concept of management consulting and training in the region.
It is worth mentioning that IMC - Jordan is the only ICMCI member in the MENA region. They offer various activities, including qualifying and training programs, developing the management consulting and training professions, training of management consultants, define standards and regulations, and create a members database.
