IMC Club's - Las Vegas Chapter - Awarded "Most Active Chapter" for the Fourth Quarter 2010
IMC Clubs, a club designed to keep instrument pilots safe by building their proficiency, has awarded the Las Vegas Chapter their "Most Active Chapter" Award for the fourth quarter of 2010.
- (1888PressRelease) January 22, 2011 - Founded by Mike Radomsky, President Emeritus of the Cirrus Owners and Pilots Association (COPA), and an instructor at The Flight Academy in Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Chapter of the IMC Clubs has excelled in generating exciting new experiences for the local flying community.
Mike Radomsky instructs in various aircraft as well as the SimTrain Cirrus full-motion flight simulator for The Flight Academy. Founded in 2002 by Luke Lysen and John Fiscus, The Flight Academy established its Las Vegas facility as a state-of-the art flight center designed specifically to meet the need for skilled, specialized flight training in Cirrus aircraft nationwide. Their commitment to Cirrus pilot training is reflected in their close relationship with COPA, and their status as a Platinum Training Center, with three Platinum Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilots among their instructors, who are among the most skilled and experienced Cirrus pilots in the world.
Mike also serves on the Permanent Editorial Board of the Aviators Model Code of Conduct, a publication which is made available to all aviators and aviation organizations to enhance the ethics, citizenship, airmanship and training, essential to the interests of General Aviation. The AMCC is free.
Despite Mike's close ties with the Cirrus community, members of his Las Vegas Chapter of IMC Clubs (they call themselves the "IMC Musketeers") fly many types of airplanes. They range in age from 18 to 80, experience levels from rookie to retired Air Force jet pilots, with a wide range of professional backgrounds. What they have in common is a love of aviation in general and an enduring curiosity about the intricacies and challenges of instrument flight. The group meets every week to discuss flying and learn from each other.
