IL Ritorno to Host 2nd Annual 'Cuisine for a Cure' Dinner
IL Ritorno, a downtown St. Petersburg restaurant known for its traditionally rustic Italian cuisine, will host a four-course 'Cuisine for a Cure' private dining event on Monday, June 8th.
- Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, FL (1888PressRelease) May 15, 2015 - All funds raised will be used locally to aid researchers, support groups serving patients and families, and fund vital programs for the Tampa Bay chapter of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA). CCFA is the largest private funder of IBD research outside the federal government.
"We are thrilled to be able to host this event for the second time in a row," said Executive Chef and Owner of IL Ritorno, David Lazer Benstock. "The CCFA is very near and dear to our hearts, and we hope this year's event is just as successful as last year's event."
The private dining event, costing $100 per person and entertaining two seatings - one at 5:30p and the other at 7:30p - will feature four courses of mouthwatering dishes crafted by Chef David Benstock himself, ensuring the exclusivity and authenticity of each guest's experience. Guests must call 727.897.5900 to reserve their seats, as space during the event is limited.
Last year's event raised close to $8,000, and to ensure more funds are raised IL Ritorno has added a silent auction and raffle during the course of both seatings. Some of the auctioned items will include donations from Green Bench Brewing, Bodega on Central, MakeMe Studio, and Molly's Suds, among others.
"Being born and raised in St. Petersburg, I feel that it is essential to give back to our community," said Benstock. "This private event is a great way to do so, and we feel honored in being able to participate."
IL Ritorno, which translates to "the return" in Italian, marks the homecoming of Executive Chef David Benstock after many years studying abroad in Italy. The restaurant, most accurately described as an authentic Italian eatery, is well known for its variety of Italian dishes. Chef David Benstock strives to create new menu items on a weekly basis, using only the freshest and most unique ingredients. His distinctive combinations have earned recognition by the Tampa Bay Times, Creative Loafing, Bay Magazine, Tampa Bay Metro Magazine, and even a spot on ABC Action News.
