IHI E&C International Corporation Awarded EP Services Contract for Urea Project
IHI E&C International Corporation (IHI E&C), HOUSTON, an entirely owned subsidiary of IHI Corporation, has been chosen to give detailed engineering and procurement services to Dakota Gasification Company (DGC) for a new urea production unit at its Great Plains Synfuels Plant closer to Beulah, North Dakota.

This award marks the continuation of IHI E&C's work with DGC. IHI E&C with success completed the FEED study in Oct 2013. The urea plant can manufacture 1,100 tons of urea every day and is regular for completion in 2017. The project will conjointly include construction of a storage facility which will hold regarding 53,000 tons of granular urea, also a new load-out facility for trucks and railcars with the capability to fill up to a 110 railcars in a single shipment.
