- (1888PressRelease) February 19, 2013 - The appointments follow two sustainability campaign wins for national produce cooperative, Abu Dhabi Farmers' Service Centre (ADFSC) and domestic appliance giant - Bosch.
Thayne joins the Dubai-based agency to lead the strategic marketing division having previously worked for some of the world's leading brands, including Budweiser and Molson Coors throughout the Gulf and the UK.
Fernandez will lead the company's new promotions division, having joined from Dubai agency, Montage. With an MBA major in event management Ms Fernandez is well respected in the UAE promotions industry having a reputation for delivering results for a host of leading clients.
With extensive experience in international PR and journalism, Campbell has been brought in to take the reins of the existing PR division, with a focus on bringing new business into the growing department.
Managing Director, Ian Hainey said of the new appointments: "I'm delighted to welcome Richard, Tasha and Michael to IHC. The right team is now in place ready to push forward and maintain the level of professionalism and creativity our clients have come to expect."
"We have an unusual business model as, after our core team, we've hand-picked and contracted a selection of some of the fantastically-experienced freelance consultants working in the UAE. This ensures we're always primed to engage the brightest and perfectly suited talent to help with any project, while keeping our prices below the industry average."
Led by Mr Thayne, IHC drives marketing for ADFSC, which works with over 12,000 Abu Dhabi farms to improve practices, bringing higher production levels and better quality crops while conserving the country's environmental resources. One of ADFSC's most recent developments is the launch of Local Harvest, a brand that showcases the diversity of fresh and safe local fruit, vegetables, poultry, meat, eggs and other produce from farms in Abu Dhabi.
IHC is working with ADFSC on bringing Local Harvest to the market with a comprehensive multi-platform marketing and communications campaign. Launched at SIAL in Abu Dhabi in November 2012, Local Harvest has already secured listings in major supermarket chains Spinneys, Carrefour Lulu and Geant. The brand is also participating in two of the region's main culinary events, sponsoring Gourmet Abu Dhabi Star Awards' 'Best use of Local Produce by a Chef' accolade. It is also providing produce for the Culinary Creation masterclass and the award's gala dinner. The brand is also an official sponsor of Taste in Dubai, where it will be running a series of initiatives to engage with country's food lovers, including product sampling, as well as benefiting from the event's wide scale advertising and promotional activity.
In addition, Mr Thayne is leading a multi-faceted environmental awareness campaign for domestic appliances giant - Bosch. The campaign will use a combination of PR, social media, competitions, direct marketing, school engagement and other communication methods to raising awareness across Gulf markets of the advanced green credentials of Bosch products.
Richard Thayne said: "I'm pleased to be joining IHC at such an exciting time. There's a renewed sense of optimism in the region, reflected in more companies willing to invest in growth. However, consumers continue to become more marketing savvy and brands must ensure they invest their resources, beyond financial, in really understanding and engaging with their target audience. Our job is to help them on this journey to deliver meaningful, sustainable growth."
IHC promotions and events has also hit the ground running, successfully delivering the launch of Sharaf DG's partnership with the Air Miles loyalty programme and providing promotional staff and brand ambassadors for the promotional events of several high profile media and beverage brands.
Tasha Fernandez added: "It's an exciting time to be joining IHC as we've had a huge presence already at some top events including the Rugby Sevens and Arab Health in Dubai and SIAL in Abu Dhabi. Having worked in the Dubai promotions and events industry for several years, I've a strong appreciation for the market and service delivery gaps. I really feel there are opportunities to deliver a better, more consistent service for our partners and we're focused upon delivering measurable results, which really sets us apart from the competition and this is something our partners have found to be highly refreshing."
