iFactory wins big with Best in Class at IMA
iFactory wins highest honour for Site Group website in the 2015 Interactive Media Awards.
- (1888PressRelease) March 05, 2016 - iFactory is thrilled to share the news that we've been awarded Best in Class by the Interactive Media Awards for our work on the Site Group website. The Best in Class award is the highest honour bestowed by the IMA, and represents the very best in planning, execution and overall professionalism.
In order to win this award level, our website design had to successfully pass through a comprehensive judging process, achieving very high marks in each of the judging criteria - an achievement only a fraction of sites in the IMA competition earn each year.
About the project
Site Group required a corporate website to showcase their business portfolio and demonstrate the success of their ventures to current and potential investors. Specifically, the design had to include live ASX data, such as share price tracking and announcements; hence its submission to the financial category in the IMA.
iFactory designed an attractive corporate website in WordPress to showcase Site's portfolio to investors. In a dedicated investor centre, live ASX data is retrieved from WebLinkIR, the premier source of ASX stockmarket information on the Internet, and is displayed in a customised format and layout.
As accuracy of financial data is critical, the ASX data is retrieved via a JSON call each time the page loads or is refreshed.
In addition to viewing and interacting with live share price data, visitors can see Site's share price (including gains and losses) at a glance in the header, footer and on key landing pages.
Another significant design aspect is that the site was built using a "mobile first" approach in order to cater specifically to investors on the go. It also uses HTML5 and CSS to achieve unique design features.
