IEX bags 'Exchange of the Year' Award 2014
The Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) has bagged the prestigious "Exchange of the Year"Award by the Power Business View, a First View Group venture.
- (1888PressRelease) October 16, 2014 - The Award was conferred today by Shri Anil Razdan, Former, Secretary-Power and Shri V S Verma, Former Member, Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) at the 4th Edition of the Indian Electricity Markets Conference heldin Delhi.
The Indian Electricity Markets 2014 conference was organised with an aim to understand the current and the future outlook of the investment into the power sector including the power markets. This conference is the gathering where power and financial communities come together to provide a wealth of insight into the growthof the electricity markets.
While receiving the Award on behalf of the Exchange Mr. Rajesh K. Mediratta, Director, Business Development, said "It is a great privilege and honour for us to receive the Award. In the last six years of its operations, IEX has made immense contribution in building a competitive power market. Today, we have over 95% market share and 3000+ participants registered with us. On a daily basis we trade about 80 MUs of electricity in the spot power market which is the most dynamic market segment on the Exchange".
