The overall theme of the Chicago Masters Series is "Strategies for Spanning the e-Discovery Divide." Vaughn is a member of a panel of experts who will be discussing "e-Discovery Challenges Related to IP Litigation."
This panel will delve into how one size and methodology does not fit all when it comes to e-Discovery and IP litigation. In the world of IP litigation, ESI volumes, intellectual property protection, and technology and engineering content all present unique challenges. Vaughn and his co-panelists will discuss these challenges head-on and offer their perspectives on developing and deploying best practices.
The Masters Series CLE event is designed specifically for -- and is free to -- attorneys from law firms and corporate legal departments and litigation support professionals; however, in keeping with the Masters Conference format, space is limited.
Vaughn is a court-recognized expert who has given testimony in more than 60 cases involving evidence preservation, documentation of events, and computer forensic methodologies and procedures. In addition to being an EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE), he is one of approximately 650 people worldwide to be certified by the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS). Vaughn has extensive experience working on litigation and consulting matters involving computer forensics, e-Discovery, and other high technology issues. Vaughn's cases span diverse areas, such as misappropriation of trade secrets, intellectual property issues, contract disputes, fraud investigations, allegations of hacking, and employment disputes. He has served clients on the plaintiff and defendant sides and has served as a neutral third party on several occasions.
