On Friday, June 8, Regard will speak at the Kentucky Bar Association 2012 Annual Convention. He will be part of a panel discussing "A Practical Guide to e-Discovery." The panel will cover basic ESI discovery practices and ethics. It also will include a simulated meet and confer conference and 16(b) conference.
Regard also will speak at the Nuix Information Governance Leadership Forum, which takes place June 18 - 20 in Palm Beach, FL. His session on Tuesday, June 19 is entitled, "A Case Study of Massive Proportions: Defensible Deletion" and the panel will discuss how a large organization deals with ongoing litigation obligations while managing, migrating and staging information within archives that are hundreds of terabytes in size, including the restoration of normal document retention and the discarding of non-relevant, non-business and non-regulated information.
Finally, Regard will participate in The Fourth Annual Sedona Conference International Programme on Cross-Border Discovery & Data Privacy (Working Group 6) in Toronto, Ontario on June 20 and 21. This will be the first meeting for Working Group 6 after the open comment period following the issuance of the group's International Principles on Discovery, Disclosure and Data Protection.
