idio, the content analytics platform that helps major brands and publishers understand and extract value from their content and conversations, has acquired thrudigital, a leading social media development agency, for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition gives idio a permanent client delivery location in London for idio's growing roster of international clients. Andrew Davies, Commercial Director of idio explains that "through the transaction we have been able to strengthen our management team and bring onboard superb engineers that have worked on enterprise-level social media projects for clients in the private and public sector including ITV, ASOS, and the NHS."
All staff will be retained by and integrated into idio, and there are plans to rapidly expand in both the Exeter and London offices over the coming months. Charles Dalton-Moore, the Managing Director of thrudigital and now Operations Director of idio says, "this decision combines two teams with complementary expertise and experience to focus on a fantastic market opportunity that is expected to grow exponentially in the coming years.
