He specialized in international trade finance, foreign exchange trading and treasury management at TD Bank, Bank of Montreal, and HSBC, and held a number of senior management positions including National Sales Manager-Trade Finance, Head of North American Trade Processing Operations and Head of Global Treasury Operations.

Van Vliet is charged with expanding ICS TRUST's services to Canadian companies by providing strategic and tactical support for law firms, banks and businesses that are establishing business or trade with China or other Asian countries.
