ICON commits to back good causes
St Albans based telecoms distributor ICON has set up a scheme to help local good causes.
- (1888PressRelease) May 20, 2011 - ICON will set aside a percentage of each quarters profit to support good causes. Support could take any form from helping a group or organisation with funding to providing help with its telecoms.
Mark Shane, sales manager at ICON commented
"We thought it right that we put something back into the community in which most of our staff live. However, we are realists and know that we cannot commit huge resources to this but we believe that by providing say a school with a few pounds to buy books or using our contacts to source IT or comms kit for a youth group we can make a small difference."
ICON will to invite local schools, youth groups and other voluntary sector organisations to send it ideas and requests for support. Staff who live in the community will review the suggestions and make the awards. Mark Shane, sales manager at ICON commented
