Iceland Designer, Halldora Eydis Jonsdottir launches her shoe collection at The Emerging Trends 2011- Boston Fashion Week
Halldora Eydis Jonsdottir is an Icelandic fashion and a footwear designer, graduated from London College of Fashion, Cordwainers Footwear with a 1st class BA Hons. Halldora was born in the countryside of Iceland and grew up around active volcanoes, lava and untouched wild nature, which has really affected her way of designing.

The shoe are inspired by wild untouched nature, to remind people of how beautiful, amazing and powerful it is, and it also needs to be protected. The materials used are by products, sustainable unique Icelandic fish skins, raw materials and Icelandic leathers, products from Halldora's own farm, like horsehair and unique lava crystals from underground of the Lake Myvatn area. The brands style is romantic, elegant yet different and glamorous with a focus on comfort and sustainability.

The brands first range will be Winter 2011-2012, launched at The Emerging Trends during Boston Fashion week. It will contain a selection of luxurious flats, low heels and unique high heeled sandals and ankle boots with for an example handmade horsehair pieces. Halldora will also show a selection of luxurious tailored dresses made of quality materials including sustainable horsehair details.
About The Emerging Trends Runway Show
The Emerging Trends, a unique fashion event committed to advancing the fashion
industry's exceptional emerging designers, will be held at the Cylcorama in Boston, MA on September 24th, 2011. This event is a dedicated effort to aid the Boston fashion community in developing its reputation known for innovation and creativity.
The 2008, 2009, and 2010 Emerging Trends events demonstrated great success for participating designers and sponsors including former Project Runway contestants Jerry Tam, Maya Luz and Keith Lissner (The Fashion Show, Bravo TV). Expecting to generate 500+ attendees, we hope to further our achievements for the 2011 event.
This event is an incredible opportunity for emerging designers from all over the world to showcase their designs to a variety of sponsors, buyers, press and media, as well as gain extensive exposure on the east coast.
The SYNERGY Events aims to provide a vehicle for promising designers to reveal
their collections to an upscale audience. Attendees consist of community members interested in developing Boston Fashion Week on a larger scale, as seen in other cities such as New York and Los Angeles.
