On the occasion of Independence Day, IBN-Lokmat and Reportaaz brings to its viewers the Sarhad organization which has helped many war affected children to relocate to their native Jammu and Kashmir and start a new life in the beautiful state.

The brutality faced by many in J&K during the partition led families to flee from their hometown to safer havens for the future of their children. Many who stayed back had a tough life in strife-torn Kashmir. Tune into Reportaaz to watch this overwhelming episode at 10 am and 8:30 pm on Sunday, 14th August only on IBN-Lokmat.
Sarhad is an NGO and educational organization based in Pune which has dedicated itself to peace & humanity and to assist in education, healthcare, rural, industrial & economic development for the violence affected regions, defining the strife ridden border areas. The year 2008 began with possibilities for Sarhad reaching out to the people in Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal Bangladesh etc to initiate activities that can bring peace, harmony and development in their respective troubled areas. The main aim of Sarhad is to create a culture of tolerance, dialogue, understanding, respect and to build a learning environment that encourages critical thinking skills and provide education that will lead to gainful employment for the people.
