IAOP Chief Advisor and Industry Powerhouse, Jagdish Dalal, to be Inducted into Outsourcing Hall of Fame

Hartford, CT (1888PressRelease) January 23, 2014 - The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals® (IAOP®) today announced that Jag Dalal, President of JDalal Associates LLC, Chief Advisor of IAOP Thought Leadership and Certified Outsourcing Professional, will be inducted into its prestigious Outsourcing Hall of Fame. He will be honored at a luncheon ceremony during The 2014 Outsourcing World Summit in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, in February, where he will also be a keynote speaker.

"I believe my success in outsourcing has come from hard work, risk-taking and creating opportunity rather than staying back," said Jag. "I believe if there is something you are committed to do, you must have passion for it and enjoy it. If you don't enjoy what you do, others won't either. That said, I am deeply honored to be recognized by IAOP as a member of its Outsourcing Hall of Fame."

Jag formed JDalal Associates, LLC in April 2002, which specializes in consulting in the field of Information Technology and Business Process Outsourcing. As Chief Advisor, Thought Leadership for IAOP, Jag has contributed to the association's growth and development from its inception, is a lead contributor and instructor for its Certified Outsourcing Professional® (COP) designation, which is the global standard of excellence for professionals in the field, and has shared his industry insights as a keynote speaker at every Outsourcing World Summit ever held. Jag has also been a lead judge for IAOP's Global Outsourcing 100® since its launch in 2006.

His deep experience as a business executive as well as his leadership experience in establishing outsourcing practices for some of the world's largest professional services companies has allowed him to bring a unique perspective to consulting. His clients range from Fortune 100 companies to small start ups.

Prior to forming JDalal Associates, LLC, Jag was the Vice President, e-Business and CIO for Carrier Corporation with responsibilities for worldwide IS and e-business functions. He was a Partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers responsible for Business Process Outsourcing. At PwC, he was responsible for the largest BPO deal recorded to date - Nortel Networks outsourced its Human Resources and Procurement functions to PwC under a $630M (five year) agreement. Jag also led the "thought leadership" and marketing efforts at PwC in building the BPO brand.

Jag has held senior MIS leadership positions at Xerox, Unisys, Data General, Brookhaven National Laboratory and Teledyne. In 1994, as Vice President of Information Management at Xerox, Jag created the strategy and led the team responsible for a $3.2B global outsourcing contract for EDS. The strategy and development of this major contract was documented and is now part of a Harvard Business School case study.

His series of lectures on outsourcing have been recognized as "pushing the envelope" in strategic thinking about outsourcing, while providing a practical framework for businesses - users and providers alike. He has been interviewed and quoted by Wall Street Journal®, Fortune®, TIME®, Newsweek®, Financial Times®, Times of India®, South China Morning Post as well as CBS News and NPR®; for his commentary on outsourcing and management strategies.

Jag has received numerous awards and recognition for his contributions in the field of information technology management and outsourcing. He was a finalist for the Outsourcing World Achievement Award and was honored at The 2001 Outsourcing World Summit. Jag was recognized as one of the "2003 sourcing pros to know" by the leading sourcing magazine - iSource.

He has also been invited by the Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Australian, Costa Rican, Brazilian, Colombian, Costa Rican, Trinidadian and South African governments to hold conferences in promoting the outsourcing concepts for the local service provider companies. Jag holds position on Boards of Advisors for companies in the outsourcing services. Jag's passions include cooking and sports. He has done seven 60 mile walks for Susan G. Komen Center for Breast Cancer, raising almost $80,000 in the process. He intends to do one more next year.
