Human Resources Leader Dr. Lora Villarreal Rallies Behind RiseSmart

Dr. Villarreal is the current president of Human Resources, LLC and brings a Senior HR perspective to RiseSmart's board. In her role as advisor, Dr. Villarreal will be involved in strategic advice and serve as a brand advocate and ambassador.

In April 2013, Dr. Villarreal retired from Xerox Business Services, LLC as Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer. Prior to that, she was Vice President, Human Resources, for Transamerica Real Estate Information Companies. Additionally, she held various positions with First Data Resources, including Vice President of Administration for a start-up operation in Mexico City.
Dr. Villarreal was named one of Hispanic Business magazine's Top Five Hispanic Women of the Year in 2008, received the Dallas Business Journal Minority Business Leaders Award, the Ogletree Deakins Human Resources Professional of the Year Award in 2008, and received the CareerFOCUS Eagle Award in 2009. Most recently, she was awarded the 2011 Woman of the Year Award by the Texas Diversity Council.
