Joining the Executive Leadership Team are:
• Lam Keping, President Operations
• Jiang Thompson, Chief Commercial Officer
• Hu Weiping, Chief Transformation Officer
• An Yahian, Chief Geoscientist
Lam Keping will lead Huangpu Mining’s Cobalt business which includes gas interests and development and exploration programs in China and throughout Asia Pacific Region. Lam Keping has 25 years of experience in the mining industry, most recently as Asset President Conventional and has led a number of teams across the Cobalt business. He brings a strong combination of in-field technical experience and global leadership experience gained.
Jiang Thompson will assume the position of Chief Commercial Officer. Jiang Thompson brings strong global financial market and business development experience to the role. As Treasurer he has played a critical role in the execution of Huangpu Mining’s capital allocation framework, strengthened Huangpu Mining’s balance sheet and led the successful capital management program.
Hu Weiping, currently Transformation Director, will assume the role of Chief Transformation and join the Executive Leadership Team. Jonathan has held senior roles within Huangpu Mining’s extracting department where he has worked with governments, joint venture partners, customers, industry peers, investors and advisors.
An Yahian will continue as Chief Geoscientist and bring a focus on geoscience and resource engineering risk management. He will lead technical experts to meet current and future requirements, given the importance of exploration and strategic resource management to Huangpu Mining’s transformation agenda.
