HPI, LLC awarded project to develop Command Centers and Communication Infrastructure for Gulf Coast Response Teams
HPI has recently been awarded a project to develop Command Centers in the Florida Pan Handle and Venice Louisiana in response to the Macondo oil spill.
- Houston, TX (1888PressRelease) September 03, 2010 - HPI, LLC, a leader in the supply of turbine control solutions and turnkey power plants, announced today their recent award of a project to develop Command Centers and Communication Infrastructures for the Gulf Coast Response Teams that are responding to the Macondo BP oil spill. The project began on 1 July to assist local, state and federal authorities, including the United States Coast Guard, in coordinating their responses to the oil spill.
The communication infrastructure links private and public sector offices with phones and broadband Internet utilizing CISCO networks and technology. HPI will supply teams for a dozen build-out locations in the Florida Pan Handle and on-going support and operations in the Venice area of Louisiana. The project is expected to continue through November but may be extended, depending on clean-up requirements.
