  • (1888PressRelease) October 24, 2013 - A Texas church wants to help people restore their confidence in God. The mega church; The Ligthouse Church, headed by Pastor Keion D. Henderson, has spent the last four years growing from slightly over 100 members to exceeding 2,000 members. As the church gets ready to begin construction on a 30,000 square foot facility in March of 2014, Pastor Henderson is reaching out to those who have moved away from God to display that He will restore anyone who returns unto Him. After a recent successful partnership initiation event where he was honored by Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee and garnered support from the likes of Houston Mayoral candidate, Ben Hall and famed bishop, TD Jakes' camp, this campaign is slated to go on full throttle.

"It's easy to deliver God's message to those who want to hear it. But when people have fallen on tough times, and away from their faith in God, getting people to show up for church is a challenge. I'm not just going to tell people about God. I'm on a mission to amplify people's faith in God," said Pastor Keion. "This movement is designed for people who have found themselves in the eye of tough storms of every kind and feel like throwing in the towel. Without God, overcoming a difficult situation is impossible. I want this movement to help people survive and thrive personally, professionally and financially."

Pastor Henderson's "Withstanding the Storm" crusade is a Bible-based series of sermons designed to help men and women become obedient to God and help to serve and support one another. "We are a forward-thinking church that is well aware of today's society and the challenges it presents. Now, more than ever, men and women have to face times of crisis. We're not here to judge. We're here to help people see the results of God's work within their own lives. We present the Bible's lessons in an entertaining, yet direct, way. It's my goal to give every visitor something positive to take away from each one of my sermons," finished Henderson.

"Withstanding the Storm" is a results-driven offensive on every stronghold designed by Pastor Henderson to evolve the way people "do church." The Lighthouse Church believes there is power in numbers. As the church continues to grow, its progressive impact on the community does too. People in the Houston church community are starting to improve their lives, and the lives of others, through Pastor Henderson's unique ability to reintroduce God to a sometimes unaccepting audience.

"I'm here to help people understand why the difficult times happen. It isn't because there isn't a God or that you have fallen out of God's favor. There is more to it, and that "more" is the message I'm delivering with this series."

Pastor Henderson is inviting the public to visit The Lighthouse Church and/or submit an interview request on any of today's questionable "hot button" topics, including stem cell research and abortion.
