HopeHealth Names Lawrence Capodilupo as Board Chair, Announces New Board Members

  • Boston, MA-NH (1888PressRelease) April 05, 2013 - HopeHealth, a non-profit healthcare organization providing medical care, care management and support services to people experiencing serious illness or loss, announced the appointment of Lawrence Capodilupo as chair of its board of directors. Patricia Cahill, who served as Board Chair from 2010 - 2012, remains on the board as Immediate Past Chair.

    Capodilupo is retired from ICL Imaging, a nationally recognized leader in the field of large format printing. He spent over 25 years in various leadership roles, becoming its 3rd president. He successfully led the company's transition from a printer to an imaging solutions provider. Capodilupo is on the Executive Committee of the Cape Cod Foundation and is a graduate of Yale University.

    Joining the board in 2013 are David E. Burns, M.D., Charles C. Case, Jr., Denise M. Dever and James E. Purcell. The new board members will join an 18-person board, which provides leadership and oversight in pursuit of HopeHealth's mission to provide services that enhance the comfort and quality of life for people experiencing the impact of serious illness and loss.

    Burns is a retired physician with a private practice in acute clinical medicine and the former director of critical care and chief of medicine at Little Falls Hospital in Little Falls, NY. A published author and artist, Burns received his Doctor of Medicine at Albany Medical College.

    Case is an attorney with expertise in estate planning, estate administration, elder law and asset protection. Prior to opening his law firm, he started an insurance agency and worked in the insurance industry for over 15 years. Case is the former president of the board of directors for Alzheimer's Services of Cape Cod & the Islands and the Planned Giving Council of Cape Cod & the Islands.

    Dever is the president and owner of Home Instead Senior Care serving seniors in Barnstable County. She spent many years in the financial industry as senior vice president in the Corporate Trust Division at State Street Corporation and worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Treasury Division. Dever is a former member of the board of directors for Alzheimer's Services of Cape Cod & the Islands and past chair of the board of directors of the Sandwich Chamber of Commerce.

    Purcell is the former president & CEO of Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island. Prior to that, he was a founding partner and first managing partner of the law firm Partridge Snow & Hahn LLP based in Providence, RI. Purcell was a member of numerous boards in Rhode Island before moving full time to Cape Cod. He now serves on the board of Cape Abilities.
