Hope Center for Autism Partners with Groupon Grassroots for iPad Library Initiative
Hope Center for Autism's iPad Campaign to provide iPad Library for clientele at the Hope Center for Autism.
- Fort Worth-Arlington, TX (1888PressRelease) September 03, 2012 - Fort Worth, Texas - Hope Center for Autism and Groupon Grassroots, the philanthropic arm of Groupon, announce the launch of a local campaign to help build the Hope Center for Autism's iPad Library.
The Hope Center for Autism's iPad Campaign will be available on the Fort Worth Groupon Grassroots page beginning on Monday, September 3, 2012 and running through Sunday September 9, 2012. Utilizing Groupon Grassroots' collective action model, Groupon subscribers can pledge support for the Hope Center for Autism's iPad Campaign in increments of $10.00 with each $10.00 donation.
With all of the advanced technology out there, iPads have made an impact in the autism community. There are many "apps" now that can be integrated with ABA Therapy, learning and as a tool to communicate with non-verbal clients. Teaching a child with autism to use a device of this kind will help them to obtain a marketable skill for the future.
"We are excited to employ the collective action model of Groupon Grassroots to raise support for the Hope Center for Autism's iPad Library," said Susan Wood, Director. "We look forward to creating new awareness for the Hope Center for Autism as one of the local organizations in Fort Worth to be featured on Groupon Grassroots."
One hundred percent of the Groupon Grassroots Campaign proceeds will be used to provide iPads to the Hope Center that families can "check out" to use at home with their children to educate, empower and succeed.
This campaign will help change the lives of our clients and their families who have children on the spectrum. Having an iPad will allow a child to communicate with anyone. As our mission states, we want to enable children to live more fully functional lives and by using the "apps" that are created and geared toward children who have autism will continue to enable them to be successful in life.
Hope: Believing things can change. We believe.
