Hong Kong opts for Silver Fox labels helping to boost the British manufacturing sector
Labelworld, based in Hong Kong, has become a distributor for UK-based Silver Fox's labelling solutions.
- (1888PressRelease) July 20, 2013 - This marks a debut in the Far East market for Silver Fox, whose cable labels are used in situations as diverse as London Underground, oil platforms, London's Olympic Village and Stadium as well as London's Savoy Hotel, and whose wide range of labels is used throughout most of the rest of the world.
Nick Michaelson, CEO of Silver Fox, explained: "Adding the Hong Kong market to Silver Fox's already geographically widespread market coverage will make us a truly worldwide supplier of labelling solutions. Hopefully, this will be reflected in the creation of further jobs in the UK as more orders come through - and give a welcome boost to the British manufacturing sector.
"Labelworld is bringing Silver Fox's laser tie-on cable labels; wrap-around self-laminating labels; two-part wire marking, and P/TAG labels to Hong Kong," he said. "This is a new venture for us in a new market - and we're interested to see how this Hong Kong venture develops."
Wilson Lo, of Labelworld in Hong Kong, commented: "We have been very impressed with the Silver Fox solution and are keen to develop it in Hong Kong. The Silver Fox solution offers some important benefits so, while the Hong Kong economy is currently growing by some 2.8% annually, we're confident that we'll win business for the Silver Fox solution way in excess of that."
Labelworld is marketing a wide range of the Silver Fox laser labels, including tie-on cable labels, wrap round self-laminating labels, optical fibre labels and labels from the P/TAG range.
Silver Fox's P/TAG labels are used in the data & telecoms industry and by electrical engineers. They are polyester labels with a special, laser-printable surface for long-term print durability and use a strong, acrylic adhesive.
They come in a wide range of sizes - even up to A4 size. Nick Michaelson commented: "Interestingly, we're finding that the A4 size P/TAG labels are becoming increasingly popular with engineers."
Silver Fox's P/TAG Labels have been tested to withstand temperatures of 85 degrees Celsius for 1,000 hours, as well as temperatures as low as minus 40 degrees Celsius. They have also performed very well when tested for salt mist spray, humidity and ultra-violet (UV) light.
"We're finding that P/TAG labels are particularly interesting for electrical engineers and data/telecom engineers," said Nick Michaelson. "Before opening up the Hong Kong market, these P/TAG labels are already being sold on three continents.
"In addition, they are supplied under the Belden LabelFlex brand," he added.
