HomePipe Launches Partner Program for Content Access and Sharing Solution
White-Label Solution Helps Partners Offer Secure, Platform Agnostic Content Access into Personal Storage, File Sharing, Online Backup Systems, Carrier/Operator and IT Services.
- (1888PressRelease) July 06, 2011 - HomePipe Networks™, the leading innovator in digital content access and file sharing for the mobile community, today announced the HomePipe Partner Program for technology providers, independent software vendors (ISVs), hardware manufacturers and resellers interested in including content access and sharing into their products.
According to a joint study released by EMC Corporation and IDC Digital Universe, 1.8 zettabytes of digital data will be created and replicated worldwide in 2011, more than doubling the amount created and copied in 2010. This staggering amount of digital content generation is enabled by the burgeoning storage options available to businesses and consumers, from hardware to the cloud. While storage providers have successfully solved the question of where to put the data, users are already looking for a way to access it on-the-go.
HomePipe's white-label solution enables channel partners to provide end-users with secure, streaming, anywhere/anytime access to, and sharing of, rich media content. The platform helps partners drive higher customer retention and increases margins with relatively little up-front costs. The industry's first white-label cloud product, HomePipe's secure access and sharing capabilities are easily integrated through HomePipe's APIs, and the company provides end-to-end support with a lineup of pre- and post-sales marketing services. The location-independent functionality of HomePipe extends to a plethora of operating systems, including Windows®, Mac OS® and Linux®, as well as mobile devices and operating platforms including Apple®, Google® Android™ and Windows Phone 7.
"HomePipe allowed us to fully incorporate their partner platform into our existing offerings quickly, easily and without a huge investment in time or resources," said Dave Howell, CEO of Avatron Software, a leading developer of productivity-enhancing applications for the iPhone®, iPod® touch, iPad®, Mac and Windows PC. "The flexibility of the platform and the services provided by HomePipe's team enabled us to expand our own product and offer the latest innovation in streaming rich media content, without the complications often involved in a large integration project."
The partner program scales to the needs of diverse segments and user-bases so partners at all levels can take the approach that best suits their business model. HomePipe partners receive full disclosure of customer usage, as well as dedicated support, allowing for simple, streamlined integration. Partners can choose from the following programs:
• Developer: Designed to allow access to HomePipe's unique APIs and the ability to add value to existing applications and services.
• OEM: Includes an integrated file sharing system within an enterprise organization and also grants the ability to scale to major operational needs. It provides a highly customized platform service with higher profit margins and a deep level of integration.
• Platform: Enterprise organizations or device manufacturers looking for a sophisticated access solution can tap into the unlimited scalability and operational integration of HomePipe, providing maximum leverage when paired with other products and services.
• Reseller: Incorporate a low-cost upgrade to an existing product or service, allowing resellers to leverage the HomePipe brand with their large, billable customer base, providing added value and a more generous package to attract new and retain existing customers.
• Affiliate and Referral: An easily customizable and low friction way to earn revenue using a commission-based model. Affiliates can earn a commission each subscription activated, while referrals will be rewarded with revenue based on number of sales leads.
"With HomePipe's partner program program, our goal is to make the barrier to entry extremely low given the universal need every consumer has for secure, on-the-go access to endless volumes of rich media content," said Chris Hopen, CEO and co-founder of HomePipe. "Whether you are small reseller or a large hardware manufacturer, HomePipe provides the tools and support partners need to solve a huge pain point in the market while driving incremental revenue."
