Hollywood On The Gold Coast As The Local "Stage One International Film Festival" Brings Glitz And Glamour To Warner Bros. Movie World
Aimed At Creating An International Black Tie Red Carpet Gala Event Here In Australia Combining Both The Music And Film Industries.
- (1888PressRelease) July 04, 2015 - GOLD COAST - The Stage One International Film Festival announced, their second festival at Warner Bros. Movie World will combine both music and film industries in a "Hollywood through the ages" themed black tie red carpet gala event. Open to four unique submission categories; Australian Music Videos, Australian Short Films, International Short Films, and One Shot Films Worldwide.
Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast will once again host the event at 6pm on the 27th February, 2016 with film submissions being accepted until the 31st December, 2015.
"We have pulled all stops when it comes making this event attractive to International industry professionals." Said Festival Director Wade Boyes. "Overseas has always held the 'big glamourous events' now it's our chance to show what we can do here in Australia. We are especially proud to have the support of Screen Queensland."

The Stage One International Film Festival team plans to take the event Australia Wide by 2017 extending to an 8 week event with creative plans to incorporate the Fashion Industry alongside this years inclusion of the Music Industry.
"This year we have gone beyond the norm, partnering the film and music industry together to create an entertainment atmosphere the likes of which has not yet been showcased at any industry event in Queensland." said Entertainment Director Amie Casey.
Following 2015's sold out event, the festival has expanded both with additional areas of Warner Bros. Movie World to accommodate increased attendance and the inclusion of two new categories, Australian Music Videos and International Short Films.
"SOIFF is a celebration of the entertainment industry and screen culture, merging two of its biggest players and bridging the gap." Festival Coordinator Angel Christo said, "Allowing both filmmakers and artists to rub shoulders, mingle, network and potentially collaborate together on future projects. Hollywood through the ages celebrates the relationship and history between film and music in Hollywood."
