Holiday Cheer and Humanitarian Endeavors
The community is invited to attend the Winter Wonderland Holiday Village in downtown Clearwater.
- Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, FL (1888PressRelease) November 27, 2024 - Holiday magic is making its way to downtown Clearwater with the upcoming grand opening of Winter Wonderland on Sunday, December 1st at 6:00pm on the corner of Drew Street and Fort Harrison Avenue. Attendees will experience the anticipated ceremony of plugging in the thousands of Christmas lights that create the perfect holiday ambiance. As is tradition, Santa Claus will be making a special entrance to mark the 31st anniversary of this community event.
Just after the grand opening, guests are invited to travel through the Winter Wonderland Holiday Village Trail along Fort Harrison Avenue, visiting each stop, collecting raffle tickets and taking part in holiday activities, such as writing letters to Santa and decorating gingerbread houses. The humanitarian centers, including The Way to Happiness, Foundation for a Drug-Free World and United for Human Rights, will transform into holiday houses for all to enjoy while learning about their humanitarian causes. There is no cost to attend.
These humanitarian centers work to provide Clearwater residents with the educational tools to improve society, whether it’s dealing with immorality, drug abuse or human rights violations. One local parent commented at a recent event hosted for the community, “This has been a lot of fun as well as informative. We enjoyed going through each of the centers and learning about each program. We will be coming back, just my husband and I, to learn more. Thank you for what you do for our community!”
The Winter Wonderland Holiday Village Trail starts at 6:30pm on Sunday, December 1st at 133 N. Fort Harrison Avenue, just after the grand opening of Winter Wonderland at 6:00pm. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to (727) 316-5309 or ccvcenter ( @ ) ccvfl dot org dot
