Hoffmann & Baron, LLP, is proud to support AGBIO innovation in the Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia corridor. As agriculture-related technologies are evolving the importance of IP services in protecting inventors/developers rights has been amplified.
- Newark, NJ (1888PressRelease) August 15, 2023 - Hoffmann & Baron, LLP recently attended the AgBio Innovators Tradeshow in Danville, VA. The conference included collaborative panels, small- and large-scale research, diverse funding and commercialization.
Agriculture was the first transformative technology to arise in civilization and agricultural biotechnology is now critical to nourishing people and communities throughout our planet. As agriculture-related technologies are evolving the importance of IP services in protecting inventors/developers rights has been amplified.
The Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina corridor play a vital role in bringing forth innovative solutions of bioscience and technology to the agriculture industry. With the opening of its DC regional office two years ago the law firm has made a commitment to the support of innovation in this region and was pleased sponsor this important event. Joe W. Ricigliano, Ph.D, J.D, and Curtis Altmann, Ph.D. J.D. who both have substantive experience representing clients in the agriculture and agricultural-biotechnology space attended the show on behalf of Hoffmann & Baron.
Virginia’s newly granted $66.7 million in state funding will be utilized to create job opportunities, raise wages, and promote economic growth. The states combined efforts of utilizing their resources will contribute to the sophisticated technology and academic laboratories, and start ups within the agricultural industry to meet the needs and protections of plants. These efforts expand from preventing the spread of diseases from vegetation and pesticide regulation.
