Hilliker Corporation Gets Its Head In The Game
St. Louis real estate firm represents award-winning gaming company.
- St. Louis, MO-IL (1888PressRelease) May 31, 2013 - Hilliker Corporation, a St. Louis owned and managed commercial real estate company, recently scored a big win by representing an industry leader in the tabletop gaming business.
Hilliker agent Powell Kalish represented Baur II, the landlord of the 1344 Baur Blvd. property located in Olivette, Mo. Greater Than Games, which signed a five-year lease, was represented by Hilliker agent Jake Shepley.
The more than 7,500-square-foot building will serve as an office and warehouse for Greater Than Games. The company's current 2,000-square-foot location, 10850 Galt Industrial, is only one half mile from their new headquarters.
Founded in 2011, Greater Than Games is an independent gaming company owned by Christopher Badell, Paul Bender, and Adam Rebottaro. The company designs and publishes tabletop gaming products including the award-winning "Sentinels of the Multiverse" and their newest "Galactic Strike Force".
Many of Greater Than Games' projects used Kickstarter, a creative funding resource, to raise capital. This method has people giving money if they like a project but, if the requested amount is not achieved, funds are not received. Project backers do not benefit financially, and creators maintain ownership and decision-making rights.
"Since the mid-90s, there has been a huge resurgence in homegrown games," said Great Than Games' partner Paul Bender. "Kickstarter helps independent designers like us publish our own products, and this fast growth has made it a necessity to move our headquarters to a much bigger space." Bender added that his company has many future projects and is looking forward to utilizing the larger facility.
Hilliker Corporation, which targets regional and national entrepreneurs, is St. Louis' largest locally owned independent commercial real estate company located at 2001 S. Hanley Rd.
