High Speed Interface Converters Translate Logic to Fiber for Embedded Applications
The Model 6766 and 6765 Logic to Fiber Interface Converters are high speed digital logic level to fiber interface converters that translate four input/output logic pairs into four fiber pairs, resulting in a total of eight fiber optic connections.
- (1888PressRelease) December 09, 2014 - Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, manufactures a 4-Channel High-Speed Logic-to-Fiber Interface Converter which is available as a board-only unit, Model 6765, or as an enclosed desktop unit, Model 6766. This Digital Logic Level to Fiber Interface Converter translates four input/output logic pairs into four fiber pairs, resulting in a total of eight fiber optic connections, with typical operating speeds up to 5 Mbps.
Model 6765/6766 features user-selectable fiber light ON polarity, convenient ST fiber connectors, and logic test points available for signal monitoring. Other features include ESD protection on the copper I/O signals. M6765/6766 is powered by 5 VDC which is filtered and has over voltage and polarity protection. The Model 6766, desktop version, has screw terminal strips for easy connection of the copper logic signals.
