High Rollers Comedy Club Takes over ETA Lounge at Aliante Station Every Tuesday Night
National headliners and local young comics perform weekly for residents of hard hit Las Vegas.
- Las Vegas, NV-AZ (1888PressRelease) February 07, 2011 - Get ready to laugh until it hurts, locals of Las Vegas. The High Rollers Comedy Club is bringing the top stand up comics to Aliante Station's ETA lounge every Tuesday night.
"When times are tough, everyone needs to laugh," said High Roller of Comedy's Jim Germano. "It's no secret that Las Vegas has been the hardest hit town in the country." So Germano, along with the other High Rollers - Mike Stigs, Keith Lyle and John Barnes- wanted to do something to lift the spirits of the locals.
"We wanted to do shows especially for the local Las Vegan, without having to make them go to the Strip," commented Stigs. "And we wanted to do it for a price they can afford."
And that price is FREE. Yes free, with no drink minimum. "It's a hard task to pull off. But we are fortunate to have a great partner like Station Casinos. Their company is all about servicing the community," said Barnes. "We are bringing in the best stand up comedy talent out there. Every comedian working today loves 'Playing Vegas'. It's a fantastic comedy town because of the locals."
"We have had comics like Kathleen Dunbar, Rob Sherwood, Don Barnhart Jr., and Bruce 'Big John' Mickelson, " remarked Lyle. "The crowds have been terrific."
Doors open at 8pm with the show starting at 8:30. After the show ends, the High Rollers host an open mic. "We would like to give the local comics a shot too," said Barnes. The plan is to give feature spots to the best open mic performers. What a great opportunity for a young comic to share the stage with a touring act. "You may witness the next big time comedian to come out of Las Vegas."
Don't miss the BEST comedy show in Las Vegas. "If you do, you should have your head examined," said Stigs.
