- St. Louis, MO-IL (1888PressRelease) November 08, 2017 - HighOrbit Corporation, a St. Louis-based software development company specializing in workflow automation, has announced the release of its Document Routing and Approval workflow. This workflow demonstrates sophisticated design features for approving, editing or destroying documents, which can be attached or linked to any process.
The Workflow Automation Starter Kits are designed to address the most commonly used processes in any organization, thus removing the need to design a process from scratch when getting started with the system. High Orbit’s new Document Routing/Approval Workflows currently includes two processes: User Defined Multipurpose Document Approval, and Records Destruction Request.
The Document Approval workflow is an example of how documents can be attached or linked to any process and routed for review and approval. Any type of document can be attached, viewed, emailed, or downloaded on subsequent tasks. Approvers can enter comments throughout the review process, and if a request is rejected, the requester is notified.
The Records Destruction Request ensures the document goes through all the necessary steps before destruction. Documents can be released for immediate destruction or held for 6 months, whereupon they are reviewed for destruction again. Following a user-defined number of years, records compliance can decide whether to delete the destruction event from the history database or not.
“By standardizing our processes and allowing the business to choose which Starter Kit best fits their needs, we provide them with a jumping off point, so they can quickly and easily get their processes automated.” says Brian Dwyer, Workflow Automation Specialist at HighOrbit. “The Document Approval workflow is unique in that it is not a realistic workflow process in itself, but rather shows how any type of document can be attached or linked to a process for review and approval. These automated processes help increase efficiency and consistency while holding key personnel accountable.”
