High Demand Continues for ICD-10 Readiness Course used by Organizations, College, Government Agency, & Major Hospitals

The course, which prepares scribes and coders for the anatomy-intensive requirements of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding, provides students with a comprehensive and complete review of major body systems. Recently, Manchester Community College (MCC) in New Hampshire included the course in its new Investing in Career Upgrades for Healthcare H1B Skills Training Grant curriculum. Also this year, the course has been distributed by QualCode, a boutique-coding agency, and COMFORCE, a leading national provider of outsourced healthcare staffing solutions.

The ICD-10 readiness course was recently recognized by the Radiology Coding Certification Board (RCCB)-a radiology coding credentialing organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA)-which now awards 23 CEU Credits for taking the course. This is in addition to the 24 American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) CEUs and 6 American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) CEUs offered to Anatomy & Physiology students.

One student said of the course, "I taught A+P related courses at the college level so I enrolled in the course with some skepticism. In other words, 'can I learn anything new?' I was pleasantly surprised because although I did that teaching, it was a long time ago.
