Hidden Poverty: A New Landscape for the American Suburb

At Women Are Dreamers Too not only are we faced with increase in suburban poverty, the new normal is compounded with domestic violence. So we have folks who are now becoming the working poor, they have jobs but are unable to stretch their dollars to cover their basic needs and those of their children for the holidays. The ladies in the suburb and their children, who normally would be our Angels are indeed needing Angels this holiday season. Compounding the trend is the issue of domestic violence at Women Are Dreamers Too.
The exceptional increase in demand for our services at Women Are Dreamers Too, for food, for toys, for basic necessities have become so overwhelming compared to the donations being received.
