HereStay Launches at VRMA 2011
HereStay, LLC announces release of the HereStay application; and promises to change the vacation rental industry.
- (1888PressRelease) November 01, 2011 - San Francisco, CA — San Francisco based company HereStay, LLC has recently announced the launch of their revolutionary Facebook application “HereStay” that promises to change the way vacation homeowners and renters communicate, make money, and take vacations. By integrating with Facebook, vacation home owners and renters are now able to leverage the power of social networking to find and rent vacation homes. The announcement came during the 2011 annual seminar hosted by the Vacation Rental Manager’s Association.
With HereStay , vacation homeowners are able to find renters through the only method that can really be trusted: by word of mouth among groups of trusted friends. Since the average Facebook user has 40,000 friends in their social network (an average of 200 friends with 200 friends of their own), vacation homeowners who fail to leverage their digital social circle of friends are missing a huge opportunity to find renters that they can trust.
Before HereStay, the most popular option for homeowners was to rely on websites that were essentially a digital version of the back pages of newspaper classified sections. Unfortunately, these sites often created many more problems than they ever hoped to solve. Among the biggest problems with these sites were communication, verification, and confirmation; problems that HereStay now offers solutions to.
By integrating with Facebook, respondents to vacation home rental ads are no longer nameless and faceless, but instead linked to a personal Facebook profile that should clearly list the person’s name and, in most cases, the person’s photo. Homeowners can further use the Facebook platform to verify information offered by potential renters by using one of the many contact options available to Facebook users, including direct messaging, instant messaging, and video messaging. Application users can also use these same tools to offer confirmation of reservations once the potential renter finds a property they like.
The HereStay application also incorporates a rewards system that motivates app users to share listings with their friends. When users post listing information about HereStay properties on their Facebook walls, they become eligible to earn HereStay rewards points redeemable for airline tickets on both domestic and international flights. App users earn their points whenever they share a listing that leads to a reservation confirmation from another user.
Social media and marketing expert Arthur Schwartz, who travels extensively to represent his business, recently had this to say about the HereStay app: “Social networking has already changed the way we work and stay in touch. It makes perfect sense to use this technology to match vacation homeowners with potential renters. The use of internet classified sites to market vacation properties is rapidly becoming outdated. HereStay is on the forefront of something big and, it’s no doubt to say, HereStay is here to stay.”
