Herb's Paint & Body & Down Syndrome Guild Golf Classic 2010
Herb's Paint & Body, a Dallas collision repair shop, teams up with the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas to sponsor the Herb's/Down Syndrome Guild Golf Classic this fall.
- Dallas, TX (1888PressRelease) July 08, 2010 - Herb's Paint & Body, a Dallas collision repair shop, announces the 2010 Golf Classic. This year Herb's is teaming up with the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas to sponsor the Herb's/Down Syndrome Guild Golf Classic this fall. Over the past 14 years, Herb's Paint & Body has raised over a quarter of a million dollars for MADD through this fine event with the help of generous sponsors and the multitude of players who attend. Last year's tournament at Canyon Creek Country Club raised over $60,000 for the Down Syndrome Guild.
The Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas will be the beneficiary of all proceeds of the tournament, expanding their impact in the community. The proceeds from the tournament will be designated to fund the long-term growth of the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas which is the only local non-profit organization dedicated solely to providing resources and support to individuals with Down Syndrome and their families. Established in 1979, it operates primarily as a volunteer organization, mostly family members of individuals with Down syndrome and serves more than 1000 families in the Dallas area.

The Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas is the only local non-profit organization exclusively dedicated to providing resources and support to people with Down syndrome. Down syndrome is the most common birth defect in our country, and more than 2,700 families in our Dallas community have been directly impacted. For more than 20 years, the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas has given hope and assistance to these families, mostly on a volunteer basis.
