(1888PressRelease) June 10, 2011 - ADSoftware is proud to announce that HELI-UNION, a limited company fully-owned by the French group CNN ("Compagnie Nationale de Navigation"), has selected ADSOFTWARE's aviation dedicated software AIRPACK to manage its Helicopters fleet which is operated in various areas of the world on behalf of oil and gas companies.

Since 1961, HELI-UNION has been implementing air commercial transportation services on behalf of oil and gas companies to support their drilling and exploration campaigns and development activities.
HELI-UNION has been carrying out helicopter operations in the Gulf of Guinea and the Angola basin (Western Africa), in South America, in the Middle East, and in Asia. It offers a turn-key service to its customers: lease of a helicopter (or several), the crew (captain, co-pilot) and the engineering team.

As a commercial carrier, HELI-UNION is accountable for the compliance of aeronautic operations with the national regulations. Therefore, ahead of a mission, HELI-UNION must make sure that appropriate facilities are available on site and local personnel can be found to help run the local base (maintenance work, radio operations, and administrative tasks). The crew are responsible for helicopter operations and particularly flight safety. Engineers are in charge of the online maintenance and answer for the airworthiness of the aircraft (aeronautics engineering, avionic systems, electrical network, and electronics). For that reason, Heli-union has decided to search for an IT system which could manage their fleet and logistics.

Various systems are available on the market but AIRPACK form the French company ADSOFTWARE has been elected to fulfil the requirements of HELI-UNION MRO's activity. On the 2nd of May 2011 an agreement has been signed between the two companies.

ADSOFTWARE has now reached the symbolic number of 40 clients, and is proud to enter the world TOP 10 Aviation software leaders list. An objective that Fred Ulrich, CEO of the company, has had on his business plan for 2012. "Recession times seem to be over and we are ahead of our schedule for 2011/2012" he happily confirmed.
