    ABOUT THE ARTIST

Elizabeth Domotor was born in Warsaw, Poland. After her initial immigrations to France and then Germany, she came to the United States, studied art at the University of Pennsylvania, and then continued her studies of painting under the tutelage of several Chester County artists. Since 1985,Domotor has participated in many local exhibitions. She is a recipient of the Adam Styka Sponsors Award. Her paintings are in private collections in the U.S., Canada, France and Poland.

    TRADITIONS OF FLORAL PAINTINGS

For those new to discovering art, still life paintings of flowers became popular in the 16th century in Italy, Northern Europe and Spain. "A painting prolongs the enjoyment of quickly-changing nature," says Jackson. A painting brings the artist's interpretation of the subject to his or her canvas. Plus, we can enjoy the beauty, color and remembered fragrance of a flower or piece of fruit 365 days a year through a painting."

"Whether it's a painting of a strawberry dipped in chocolate, a charm bracelet with the Eiffel Tower, or a hand-sewn pillow, we strive to present the unusual, the unique and the beautiful and have it available in a local friendly shop," she says.

Beauty's Hearts & Flowers exhibit will continue through March 22, 2013. Future exhibits scheduled include "Country Roads" landscape paintings April 6 to May 25, and "All Creatures" exhibit June 1 to August 9, 2013.
