Heart Screening Offered To Woodward, Ok Families
In memory of her daughter, Anastasia Meyers, Shannon Cron has partnered with ATS HeartCheck to provide heart screenings for kids ages 8 to 25.
- Kansas City, MO-KS (1888PressRelease) April 23, 2018 - August 12, 2016, the sudden loss of Anastasia Meyers shocked the Woodward community. Anastasia was only 14 and had a heart disorder called Long QT Syndrome. Long QT affects the heart by causing an irregular heart rhythm, often leading to an early death. After losing her daughter, Shannon learned although Long QT is a rare disorder over 7,000 kids in the U.S. die every year from undiagnosed heart conditions. To help other families avoid the pain of losing a child to a heart disorder that could be detected with proper testing, Shannon has partnered with ATS HeartCheck for the second year in a row, providing Woodward families with the chance to make sure their kids don’t have a hidden defect putting them at risk.
