- (1888PressRelease) October 08, 2010 - A new agreement between Havenshire Limited and USA-based ioSemantics LLC makes Havenshire the only firm outside North America that is offering ioLogex™. This new technology developed by ioSemantics automatically analyses, documents, and most importantly converts legacy software into clean well structured new software in the language of choice.
The result is more than easier and cheaper to maintain. After conversion, the software can be enhanced faster and at lower cost, allowing the customer to respond more readily to market changes. It also smooths migration to more modern computing platforms.
A current project in the States is migrating 750,000 lines of heavily patched, poorly documented COBOL to properly structured, fully documented Java. Traditional methods and tools would require a team of highly skilled analysts for several months and would be likely to overlook some details of the work being done by the legacy system. With ioLogex™, analysis began in September and conversion will be complete before December. Because it is automated, no functionality is accidentally omitted.
Havenshire and ioSemantics will deliver services to UK clients in concert for a seamless combination of ioSemantics' breakthrough analysis, conversion and migration services with Havenshire's consulting and technical services.
Bonnie Huval, Director of Havenshire, commented, "Compared with existing technology for legacy software modernization and related purposes, ioSemantics offers a demonstrably superior value proposition for our clients. Cost, flexibility and speed of delivery are excellent. We always insist upon delivering top quality, and so does ioSemantics. We look forward to introducing this innovative service to our clients to address substantial and pressing business needs."
Steve Bucuvalas, CEO of ioSemantics, commented, "We are excited to establish a marketing partnership with Havenshire Limited. We are impressed with the technical experience, market knowledge and track record of the principals of Havenshire Limited and we look forward to applying our technology and expertise to their client base."
