The HLFW 2010 Vision
The HLFW Vision is to emphasize sustainable fashion, showcase independent and emerging designers, and draw national attention to Atlanta's unique connection of art, design, and sustainability. Known for its celebrity presence, creativity for modern art, design, and urban development, the city of Atlanta is being unveiled as 'The Manhattan of the South'. On the runway since 2007, Haute.lanta Fashion WeekŪ showcases the hottest designer collections of the upcoming season through a five-day series of non-stop high-production runway shows, live mannequin and accessory exhibits, silent auctions, premium live entertainment, celebrity appearances, and oh so haute after parties. HLFW exposes independent designers to a host of style makers, celebrities, fashion elite, consumers, and more importantly buyers, and regional & national press.
Commitment to the Design Community
'Fashion Week' in Atlanta has always been affordable for independent designers. For a nominal fee, HLFW produces and stages their entire show; moving fashion forward for a sustainable future. This year Haute.lanta Fashion WeekŪ is making the production of the event itself sustainable - from construction of the actual runway with eco-friendly materials and energy efficient lighting, to cruelty-free styling products and cosmetics by LAMIK Beauty, organic hors d'oeuvres courtesy of BANG! Hospitality, recycled printing materials and giftbags, to even using sustainable-certified hotels for our guests. HLFW supports the city's sustainable economic development mission to encourage the effort for a greener earth and will continue to lead the Atlanta design community by example.
Haute.lanta Fashion WeekŪ benefits two nonprofit organizations, RISE (Resources for Independence, Self-Sufficiency & Education) and Green Opportunities For Urban Neighborhoods.
