We curate every day when, for example we choose to buy one type of soap over another; or when we choose to shop at one supermarket as opposed to another.   Oprah Winfrey was curating when she started sharing "her favorite things" with her audience. In the same way HATCHEDit wants to give you a place to curate your favorite things and share them with your closest friends.
