Harvey Wayne Communications believes that in order to serve clients across a broader demographic, expansion in the UK is necessary. They began research in Coventry, Enfield, Kirklees, Bristol and Doncaster, where they studied consumer behavior and what influences consumers' buying decisions. Harvey Wayne Communications chose these specific locations because of the smaller populations, making it easier to really get a feel for the communities' consumer needs. The lower populated communities allowed Harvey Wayne Communications to focus on the specific niche, or demands, of local residents, which are often difficult to identify in a heavily populated area such as London.
Harvey Wayne Communications used market research to determine which city would be the best place to begin their business expansion. They found that testing face-to-face marketing campaigns, sample surveys and questionnaires were helpful in revealing the opinions of consumers, in turn helping Harvey Wayne Communications make appropriate changes to their marketing and business approach.
