Harrison College To Host Third Annual Summer Jam
Student-Organized Event To Be Held At Indianapolis Downtown Campus.
- Indianapolis, IN (1888PressRelease) August 27, 2011 - Greg Reger, president of Harrison College's Indianapolis Downtown campus (http://www.harrison.edu), has announced that the College will host its annual Summer Jam on campus on Saturday, Aug. 27 from noon to 3 p.m. The event, presented by student organization Community OutReach Efforts (C.O.R.E.), will feature music, games and entertainment for children and adults, including a poetry slam and Harrison Idol, a singing competition. For-profit and nonprofit vendors from the Indianapolis community will be in attendance.
Poetry slam participants will be judged on imagery, word usage and ability to captivate the audience. Harrison Idol competitors will be judged on creativity, originality and overall skill. - The poetry slam starts at 12:40 p.m. First place receives a $75 gift card, while second place receives a $25 gift card and third place receives a $15 Subway gift card.
- Harrison Idol starts at 1:35 p.m. First place receives a $100 gift card, while second place receives at $50 gift card and third place receives a $15 gift card.
