- Indianapolis, IN (1888PressRelease) November 29, 2011 - Jason Konesco, president of Harrison College (http://www.harrison.edu), a post-secondary, proprietary educational institution aimed at business, industry, and the public sector, has announced that the College is partnering with Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) to provide high school students with an enrichment program during intermission sessions. Harrison College's enrichment program provides high school students a week of computer training instruction that culminates with the awarding of a professional certification for those who mastered the class.
IPS recently implemented two-week intersession breaks to enrich students' lives through community partners providing beneficial programs not offered by the district. The first break held by IPS took place from Oct. 10-21 and the district plans to hold another intersession in March 26-April 12, 2012.
QUOTES:
"Harrison College was proud to participate in the enrichment programs offered in the intersession held by Indianapolis Public Schools," said Konesco. "The high school students who attended our computer training course were eager to learn, and we hope the information we provided will inspire them to continue their educational efforts when they graduate."
